(Frequently Asked Questions)
What Happens During My First Visit?

During your first visit a Physical Therapist will evaluate your condition or injury, establish goals, individual needs and lifestyle and recommend your treatment plan.

What Do I Need to Bring With Me?

When you come for your first visit bring the prescription/referral for Physical Therapy that your physician issued, insurance card, picture ID/drivers license and any reports, MRI or X-ray results you have.

How Should I Dress?

We suggest you dress in comfortable, loose fitting or exercise clothing, tennis shoes or appropriate footwear.

How Long Will Each Treatment Last?

Arrive 15 minutes early for your first visit to allow time for new patient forms. Your first visit will last from 1-1.5 hours.

Who Pays for the Treatment?

Usually your insurance will cover your physical therapy completely. However, this does not mean you will not have fees to pay. In some cases there are co-payment and co-insurance amounts that will be charged to you if required by your insurance company. To find out if you have a co-payment or co-insurance amount you will have to pay, contact your insurance company.

Who Will Be Seeing Me?

You will be seen by a Physical Therapist (PT) or a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). They are highly-educated, state licensed health care professionals who can help patients reduce pain and improve or restore mobility.
